How paying attention to the good in your life affects your mood and mindset.
How often do you take the time to reflect on what’s going well in your life and business?
If you’re like most people, my guess is not as often as you could be.
Thanks to being bombarded by negative news from the media (and sometimes people we spend time with), we tend to naturally err on the side of what’s not working and place our attention on what we don’t have, what we’re not doing and what’s not going well.
What would life look like if you did the opposite?
I invite you to take some time to notice what is working for you.
Some examples could be:
- Focusing on all the compliments you’ve had from clients in the past month instead of the one niggling client who made a slightly negative comment
- Writing down all the things you’ve achieved since the start of the year
- Appreciating all the good things about your partner rather than criticising things they haven’t done for you
Write down three things that went well for you at the end of each day and notice how you feel as a result.
Paying attention to the positive events that happen shifts your mindset into a space of possibility and gratitude which is very powerful for closing the gap between where you are and where you want to be.
Small changes made consistently lead to big shifts in the long run.
I’m very excited to have recently qualified as a HeartMath coach. Events and changes in my own life led me on a search for tools to feel better in the present and to be able to cope more calmly with the challenges of being an entrepreneur, mother and partner and I’m really excited to share this modality with you.
